ka as a future tense marker

The future tense is usually indicated with the tense marker ka:

Ka haere au.
I will go.

Ka waiara ia.
She will sing.

Ka harikoa koe.
You will be happy.

Ka hoko au i tētahi taonga mā tāku tahu.
I will buy a gift for my love.

Ka āhua pukuriri a Hēmi.
Hēmi will be somewhat grumpy.

Ka whiti te rā ki Kaitaia āpōpō.
The sun will shine in Kaitaia tomorrow.

Ka hīkoi a Ataahua ki te kura.
Ataahua will walk to school.

Ka hoki tātou ki te mahi.
We will return to work.

Ka āhua mokemoke koe.
You will be somewhat lonely.

Ka wehe tātou ā te 2 karaka ā tēnei ahiahi.
We (3 + incl) will leave at 2 o'clock this afternoon.

Ka kite au i ōku hoa ki te kura.
I will see my friends at school.

Ka hoki mai au ā tēnei Whiringa-ā-rangi.
