Negating nāku possessives - Ehara i...

Sentence structures beginning with he, ko, nā/nō and mā/mō are negated with ehara (as as possesive sentences).

N-class possives are therefore negated with ehara.

Nāku tēnei pukapua.
This book is mine.
Ehara i a au tēnei pukapuka.
This book does not belong to me.

Nā ngā kaiako ngā pukapuka.
The books belong to the teachers.
Ehara i ngā kaiako ngā pukapuka.
The books do not belong to the teachers.
