Mā tāu rourou, mā tāku rourou ka ora te iwi.
Through your food basket and my food basket the people will be fed.

Mā te mahi tahi te kaupapa e tū ai.
Through cooperation the kaupapa will get off the ground or be realised.

Mā te kōrerorero ka mārama te take.
By discussion (you) will understand the problem.

Through hard work [it] will be achieved.
